One day I was wanting to go hunting real bad so I snuck out off work and when I got to the blind I had set up when taking pictures of turkeys and deer.I did a few yelps and got a imedieant response.the gobbler was close real close,he was on the the other side of the hill I was by(which was about 45 yards)apearently I didn't see him and he didn't see me.Any way back to the story he came to the call right away but suddenly he must have seen a flare on my classes and he ran off.I thought quick and did a complete circle around which was about 200 yards. As I was setting up in the place I thought he would come by he entered the small 2 acre field of Imperial Whitetail For my whitetail guide service Cross Hair Guides and Services any way he came within 10 steps and I pulled the trigger on my Browning with Supreme size 5 shot. The bird went down and I got the biggest turkey of my life.It had a 12in beard and weighed 24 lb..

,My hunt began at 5:00 when I went out to try to hear the gobbler.I didn't hear none so I went to where I thought the Turkeys might be coming out. Then when I was loading my gun, it jammed,While I was trying to get it undone a gobble broke the silence. When I got it un jammed I snuck up to where I tought they where.then all of a sudden they all flew out of the roost. So I did a yelp and got a response. Then I went up on this little hill and layed down.I heard hens yelping and clucking. Then I heard what sounded like hens fighting then all of a sudden a jake came flying out of the woods into the field I was over looking. At 30 yards I took a shot.It wieghed 17 pounds had a 4 inch beard and 1/2 inch spurs. It was my first turkey.I killed it ot 7:00 a.m. on the first day of the season.

Thanks brandon for the story and the pic ..Sorry for the 4 day delay ..
